Ann Coulter: Still an Idiot

I've always been pretty clear about my feelings for Ann Coulter. They haven't changed a bit.

At least Ann Coulter's statements are not as hypocritical as the statements from people like Sam Seder and his ilk. They gloat that Roy Cohn died from AIDS, then in the next breath they are careful to instruct us that AIDS isn't a gay disease.

  4. I think her comment was pretty funny. I think its even funnier because Edwards is not gay and I think she meant it in a way like he was a loser or pretty boy and she misused the word. I still think she says what other people are afraid to say.

The real idiots are the people like orthomom who fall for her act. Its clearly nothing more than a ploy to get people riled up and help her sell more copies of her book. She can hardly even keep a straight face when she says these lines on tv.

And why exactly does this excuse make the comments any less idiotic?

Her bank account may shrink a bit after this.

As always, I have to agree with Anon at 3:05 p.m. That her comments are outrageous and designed to rile people is obvious. Why people get more upset over *her* as opposed to any other hound in the publicity-seeking pack has always eluded me.

While there is little question that these companies need to pull their ads from her website, if only because she is such a controversial figure, anyone who thinks that losing these advertisements will have even a remote impact on Ann's finances has little grasp of reality. She earns millions from her book sales, and is paid tens of thousands of dollars a pop for speaking engagements. The revenue she might get for the website is utterly inconsequential.

She is indeed a role model for frum Jews: Whatever she does, do exactly the opposite, and you won't be far off. From the non-tzniut dress, to the evil speech coming out of her mouth, to her total disregard for facts. Not to mention cavorting with anti-Semites:

Ann Coulter's books are generally accurate in politics and historical prospective. She obviously does the research necessary to formulate her opinions. Plagiarism is not her biggest problem. Where she looses me is on her analogies (e.g - "I'm not saying that everyone should go out and start killing Jews." - Godless) She has a latent bias against Jews and others which tends to surface from time to time. (I have never found her books to attacks catholics, for example. And the homosexual scandals are at least deserving a mention when attacking the homosexual community.

  14. She makes my skin crawl.

Bob Guccione, Jr. used to date her and gave a rather SCATHING account of her true persona.

Don't you feel like she's gonna rip off a face mask and some horrible slimy worm like creature is under there?

She makes me embarrassed to be female and senitient.

To all of you critics of Ann Coulter, what happened to your advocacy of Freedom of Speech? Or is that only a right reserved to the spewers of filth about Pamela Greenbaum?
