Irony Lost?

Apparently, researchers in Israel have pinpointed the part of the brain that detects sarcasm. During the study, scientists:
...tested each person by exposing them to several "neutral" and sarcastic comments recorded by actors as part of a story. This "sarcasm meter" was designed to gauge how well the subjects could comprehend the unique kind of irony that is sarcasm.
Would I love to market that "sarcasm meter" to some people I have encountered in the blogosphere...

Until it can measure rolling ones eyes on the web I have no use for it.

I agree. I wish HTML would come up with sarcasm tags. It would make life a lot easier.

uh, my level of sarcasm. Are you following the conbversaiton? and while we're on the subject of not following things, what's the Shifra blog meter and why did SurahMalka offer to make out with MO4 yesterday on DB's wino string?

having trouble following so many threads this morning.

askshifra has a self test you can take to detrermine your degree of bloddiction.

damn, even though i was bored with it, i should have kept an eye on DB yesterday. When the booze starts flowing there is always some solid g-on-g action

I don't usually like to judge people, but I think JPT is taking a really long time composing part II of his story, to the exclusion of all else.

i turned up healthy blogger based on her test, but her scoring system is way flawed

Maybe he needs a profesisonal writer. Know anyone? What was flawed about her scoring?

M4-

I was reading through your blog this morning, and i noticed you called your self 30-ish when describing yourself. I have never seen a 29 year old woman leap ahead like that. Very peculiar.

Oh, and I agree totally on the suckiness of carpool.

"noticed you called your self 30-ish"

maybe mo4 is really six, and like my six year old, describes herself as "almost six-and-a-half" the day after her birthday, and "almost seven", the day after her 6-1/2 b-day.

Thanks for the complement SW!
I'm slow today because I'm home with a puking child - ugh.

(she seemed to perk up though after it was determined she would be staying home from school today- conincidence? I think not.)

"ugh" because she's puking on you? I've been there. It's very entertaining to the puker.

Air: I figured 30-ish was vague enough. And when I started this blog, I didn't have the issues with my age that I do now (thanks guys). I look young for my age so I never felt like I had to PROVE that I was in my 20's. Now that you guys made me so insecure, though, maybe I'll go back and change it to 29.

saying you're 29 makes people think you're 50.

Could make you 28 if your birthday is after May 24th, too! See, we can shave off two whole years from 30!

Can anyone recommend the well-priced Software Deployment utility for a small IT service company like mine? Does anyone use Kaseya.com or GFI.com? How do they compare to these guys I found recently: N-able N-central service desk
? What is your best take in cost vs performance among those three? I need a good advice please... Thanks in advance!
