Foiled Terror Plan?

First of all, does anyone else feel that just because this particular drug lord came clean (in a manner of speaking), doesn't mean that bin Laden's plan has been abandoned? The fact that this one guy had misgivings about the alleged terror plot - for business reasons, I might add - doesn't mean that the next guy didn't or wouldn't go through with it, for the right price.
Second, do you think that news of this plot will affect U.S. cocaine consumption in any significant way?
I guess it's all a matter of wait and see.
However, with reports of the recent resurgence of cocaine as a popular "party drug" of choice, this has the potential to affect a more mainstream swath of American society than one might think. The image of the homeless or criminal cocaine addict just isn't a very current one anymore.

Good point. Orthomom. I just attended a lecture for parents given at my children's high school, (a Modern orthodox Yeshiva, fyi), and they warned us that cocaine has seen an increase in poularity, and that we should be on the lokout for certain hallmarks of cocaine use in our children. They also said we shouldnt be fooled into thinking that just because or kids are yeshiva kids means that they are immune from abusing hard rugs like cocaine, etc. This plan makes their words all the more scary.

Why do you always end your titles with question marks?
Yes. though upon further discussion with a freind who is in social work, he says that these teens tend to gravitate more to the pill-type drugs over cocaine. Seems the thought of snorting something up their noses makes them queasy. But scary nonetheless.
Even so. So it's not scary from the spiked cocaine POV, but scary from the teens using drugs POV. Neither is good news.
