Good Old Days Grumblings

Krum puts up a post that makes me nostalgic for the good old (and good-natured old) blogging of time past.

Yeah, sure you think you're nostalgic. But the nostalgia we had when I was a kid was so much better.... You can't get nostalgia like that anymore.

As someone commented on the Krum blog, Krum is partially to blame. Krum's now famous (infamous?) post on different groups in the Five Towns (e.g. Young Turks) presents an early example of the mudslinging that he now decries in the comments section of this and other blogs.

I don't think it's as bad as people think it is. You see it more on big blogs, such as this one, which have had plenty of time to attract trolls. Look on the smaller J-blogs, though, and it's all still nice and friendly. (Just don't tell the trolls.)

As one of the orginal so-called "trolls," OM, I am deeply hurt and offended. My posts are always on point and highly substantive, and my presence only serves to enhance the quality of your comment section.

B*tch.
