As I have done during this entire saga, I will consult with my Rov before going back to GG. Nothing against you OM, or any other journalist-wanna be with a blog and blinds on their windows, but I'd prefer to get my news from real, verifiable people. Thanks for the heads up though.
Throughout this entire mess the most telling comment about the Vaad and its leadership is that some felt it necessary to applaud rabbi Eisen for being available on a few Sundays for consultation.
The man is the head of an organization whose pervue is the supervision of Kashruth in a community where every single store, restaurant, caterer is operating on Sundays, and some feel it was a sacrifice on his part to be available, not present, mind you, just available on Sundays?! What the heck is Sunday, the Sabbath?!!

This was said by the Attorney for the Bolenders. He has to say nice things about RYE untill this is all over. He has no respect for RYE and is acting as any Attorney would for the sake of his client.
I am the author of the comment in the newspaper, yes I am that lawyer. I just came back from Israel and I find it outrageous that anyone can write that they know what how I feel. Rabbi Eisen, Rabbi Lefkowotz and Rabbi David Weinberger, the latter two I consider my Ravs from the two communities I have lived in over the last 18 years all were very helpful in the last weeks before the sale. Each side took misteps over the last three months (me too) and I look forward to learning from the past to help the process in the future. My feeling from speaking with some of the Rabbis is that they sincerely care to make things better. Lastly I am not now on the meter. So please do not post comments like "I have no respect" when no-one knows what I am thinking. All I tried to do was what was best for my clients and I think they are satisfied.
